The City of Mustang Ridge mourns the loss of former Judge Larry Lee Laws, who peacefully passed away on February 3, 2025, surrounded by his family. 

Our deepest condolences, thoughts and prayers are extended to his loving wife Terri Laws, his loving mother Joyce Laws and family. 

 

Judge Laws dedicated much of his life to public service, beginning as a firefighter with the Houston Fire Department and later serving with the Travis County Sheriff’s Department until his retirement in 2013. He continued his commitment to our community as the second Judge of Mustang Ridge, following in the footsteps of his father, Brooks Laws. 

 

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Judge Laws will be remembered for his generosity, strong work ethic, and unwavering dedication to those around him. His impact on Mustang Ridge and the people who knew him will not be forgotten. 

 

Services to honor Judge Laws will be held at McCurdy Funeral Home in Lockhart, TX: 

Visitation – Wednesday, February 12th, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM 

Funeral Service – Thursday, February 13th, at 10:00 AM, with burial to follow at Live Oak Cemetery in Manchaca, TX
